A Professor of Sculpture at the Art Institute of Chicago, Whitehead has received
numerous grants and awards, including a National Endowment for the Arts Individual
Artist Grant and a Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Individual Artist Award.
She has lectured extensively and has work in the permanent collections of the
Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art; University of Arizona Museum of Art,
Tucson; Arizona State University Museum, Tempe; Museum of Contemporary Art,
Chicago; and the Art Institute of Chicago, among others.
